We’re sisters who share a deep love for our dogs and for healthy living. The Gogoma story begins with our first family dog, Lucy, a finicky Maltese who would go days without eating her meals. To encourage her to eat, we started adding spoonfuls of Korean sweet potato, or goguma, to her food. This humble food is not only mouthwateringly delicious, but it reminds us of home and being nourished by our Korean grandmothers. Lucy loved goguma so much she soon wouldn’t eat her meals without it. Inspired by the nourishing power behind this food, we continued sharing it with our own dogs that came after Lucy. They loved it, too. This shared delight over goguma got us thinking: Why not create wholesome, delicious treats that combine the goodness of Korean sweet potato with other flavorful, nutritious foods – and share it with dogs all over? Gogoma was born. We created each Gogoma recipe with the belief that pets deserve the same love and nourishment extended to our human family members.
